When we reviewed it, we found the design of the ColourEdge CG319X to be a little dull and utilitarian, and certainly less sleek than some of the other monitors on this list, but then you're really buying this for the display itself, and we found that to be really unfaultable.

The CG319X also boasts one feature that sets it apart from all competing high-end 4K screens. I suspect the reason you don't have one on that display is because product manufacturers actually have to pay a per-port royalty for every HDMI port they include on their products, and since that display appears to be a budget model, Dell might have decided that it wasn't worth the extra cost.The Eizo ColourEdge CG319X is undoubtedly the connoisseur’s choice in high-quality displays. If you go that route, finding a display that has an HDMI input shouldn't be difficult. 1366x768 resolution isn't a lot to work with these days. Alternatively, you might want to consider getting a better display. Unfortunately VGA is the lowest quality signal because it's analog, whereas all other options are digital, but that's all you can do.
Your only real option would be an HDMI to VGA adapter or cable. You've got a bad combination of system and display there.
That's because most (but not all) DisplayPort sources support a feature called "Dual Mode DisplayPort" that allows them to send an HDMI signal, but HDMI sources do not support sending a DisplayPort signal, nor will DisplayPort displays accept a native HDMI signal on their DisplayPort inputs. DisplayPort to HDMI cables can only be used to connect a DisplayPort source to an HDMI display, not the other way around.
